Sangat from Overseas and India is contributing to the ongoing sewa at Gurdwara Baba Atal Rai. The Sewa has progressed over the last year in various stages. The whole court yard marble was replaced and the whole building was cleaned and whitewashed with top quality paint [see previous posts for updates]. Now the sewa is being carried for fixtures and fitments including total replacement of old doors. The doors of Baba Atal Rai have not been replaced since the time of Raja Ranjeet Singh. The new doors being installed use top quality wood and are being very laboriously hand crafted to original designs. The main doors will be silver plated. More than 100 kg of silver is estimated to be required to complete the sewa. Many Sangat members have voluntarily come forward with contributions towards this project. Contribution can be in form of Silver metal or cash so the kar sewaks can procure the silver required to complete the sewa. Cash can be deposited directly using bank details on the contributions section of this website.
S. Paramjeet Singh of Vill Malka and Bhai Charanjit Singh from USA contributed to Sewa being performed at Gurdwara Baba Atal Rai and can be seen in pictures below with Bhai Manjeet Singh doing Darshan at Gurdwara Baba Atal Rai Sahib
This website chronicles the Kar Sewa undertaken by Bhai Manjeet Singh Ji Phagware Vale of various Gurudwara Sahibs which have been in state of neglect for past many years. Browse the various posts for the progress of Sewa. Sewa is possible by efforts and contributions from the Sangat which is reflected in the name of this website. The details to contribute are available in the Sewa Contributions Section.
